Physical Therapist (Full-Time) - 1424

The Physical Therapist is directly responsible to the Manager and/or his/her designee and has the responsibility for overall direction, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff and students in their areas of the Rehab Services Department.  In accordance with Physicians' orders, the Physical Therapist assesses, evaluates, plans and carries out physical therapy programs to restore maximum reasonable function and to minimize disability following disease, injury, or genetically acquired disabilities.  

Certification, Registration, or Licensure: Current Physical Therapist license in State of Nevada.  Current BLS certification. 

Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.

Minimum Experience: One year experience as a Physical Therapist in a hospital environment preferred.

Responsible for collecting, washing and maintaining of all hospital laundry and linen to provide patients, visitors and staff with a safe and clean environment by maintaining standards of cleanliness, sanitation and freedom from hazards and infections.

Medical Technologist (Full-Time) - 1446

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, performs clinical testing in the following laboratory areas: blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, and microbiology, obtains or receives specimens, performs laboratory tests according to written procedures, understands methods and principles, performs and evaluates quality control on a daily basis.

Certification, Registration, or Licensure: Nevada certification as Clinical Laboratory Technologist or General Supervisor.  National certification in Medical Technology by ASCP or equivalent.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a biological science; American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalency; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are required.

Minimum Experience: Three years working experience as general medical technologist preferred.

Under the general direction of the RN charge nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant performs delegated patient care tasks.  Basic care is provided in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and customer satisfaction.  The CNA performs a variety of procedures that require independent judgment and at a level not requiring constant supervision.

Certification, Registration, or Licensure: BLS certification, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification from the state of Nevada. 

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of Nursing Assistant course or the equivalent.

Prepares a variety of food service items by following established hospital recipes and procedure.   Responsible to lead the activities of dietary aides in the absence of a supervisor.  Works under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Dietary/EVS.  

Licensure/Certification: Current Food Handler’s Permit within one month of employment. 

Required Education:  High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Experience:  Two years of institutional food service experience, or equivalency is preferred.  Additional years of institutional cooking experience and previous supervisory experience may be preferred.

Under general direction, performs and interprets preliminary, non-invasive cardiac studies; operates ultrasound equipment performing echocardiograms and Doppler investigations.

Certification, Registration, or Licensure:  Certification or registry eligible by American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) recognized program.   Current BLS certification.

Minimum Education: Graduate from an Cardiovascular program required.

Other:  Should have or develop expertise in all areas of imaging.  Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.  The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.  The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient’s status and provide care as described in the department’s policies and procedures manual.
