The Emergency Department at Desert View Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a physician on site and on duty at all times.
A board-certified physician in Emergency Medicine oversees the DVH Emergency Department.
Registered nurses are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Programs.
Desert View Hospital Emergency Department has one of the shortest waiting room times in the state of Nevada.
Emergency Department patients receive priority for any laboratory, radiology, cardiology, and surgical services required.
Patients requiring a higher level of care are transferred via ambulance or helicopter to the nearest tertiary care facility.
