Physical Therapy
Our specially trained therapists provide assistance in your recovery. Our specialties include neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic and sports injuries, geriatric rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, neck and back pain therapy programs, and acute and chronic wound care. Physical therapy is available to provide care to inpatients, swing-bed, and out patients.
Swing-bed is the term used when a patient reaches a pivotal part in the recovery progress.
Here at Desert View Hospital patients may require further care before they are able to return home at their prior level.Swing bed offers this transitional type of care.
Physical therapy can assist a patient to return to their previous abilities while rehabilitating locally from a total joint replacement that was done at a larger tertiary care center.
Physical Therapy Services are provided by skilled licensed therapists in a caring and supportive environment. Our department is located within the hospital at 360 S Lola Ln. Outpatient appointments can be made by calling (775) 751-7505 Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
