Speech Therapy
Speech Therapy services are provided at Desert View Hospital to assist all patients in the rehabilitation process. Using a team approach, patients are evaluated and treated for various language disorders, including geriatrics and neurological rehabilitation. Our speech pathologist works closely with the patient and their physician, as well their family, to develop and implement the most appropriate treatment plan.
Conditions treated by a licensed speech- language pathologist:
- Parkinson’s
- Alzheimer
- Throat cancer
- Stroke
- Swallowing and communication disorders.
Treatment plans include expressive and receptive language skills:
- Articulation
- Fluency
- Voice
- Swallowing
- Family/caregiver training.
Services are provided by skilled licensed therapists in a caring and supportive environment.
Our department is located within the hospital at 360 S Lola Ln. Outpatient appointments can be made by calling (775) 751-7505 Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
