Physical therapy is available to provide care to inpatients, swing-bed, and out patients. Swing-bed is the term used when a patient reaches a pivotal part in the recovery progress. Here at Desert View Hospital patients may require further care before they are able to return home at their prior level. Swing bed offers this transitional type of care. Physical therapy can assist a patient to return to their previous abilities while rehabilitating locally from a total joint replacement that was done at a larger tertiary care center.
